Not sure about that You say, " There is no comfort in that. There is no glory of God in foreknowledge that he saw you. Look how subjective, how self centered that is, how me that is" to refute what you believe is an erroneous view of foreknowledge. Since when do we base our interpretation of Scripture on how comforting or relatively God-glorifying it appears to us?

Great Sermon! If I could recommend only ONE sermon for professing Christians to listen to, it would be THIS ONE. From start to finish, salvation is entirely the work of the Lord, even the faith that we exercise. All glory belongs to Him! Pastor Poss speaks about the erroneous view of foreknowledge which says that God looked down the corridor of time and saw who would believe: "Look how subjective, how self-centered that is. How 'ME' that is. 'He looked down the corridors of time and saw MY faith.' That right here, tells you that is a work. If He sees your faith and that's why you're saved and your brother is damned, ... the difference between you and him is your faith; you are back to works-righteousness. ... The object of the divine foreknowledge is not the actions, not the works of certain people, but the people themselves. ... He foreknew YOU, not your actions, but that He foreknew you; He set His love upon you. God has fixed His special attention upon them, or loved them savingly. That's what 'foreknew' means."
