Treasure Hunters
Think with me? Can you imagine what it was like for Jesus? He walked through this fallen world, among the dullness and darkness of those He served. Yet, the atmosphere of that society, nor the people He served, didn't, in any kind of way, diminish His zeal and passion to seek, serve and share His Father (Isaiah 50:4-7).
Another thing, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that God doesn't think to fondly of, nor does He respond favorably to, those who:
1 mistreat His servants 2 miscalculate His statues 3 misuse His sacrifice 4 mishandle His Scripture 5 misappropriate His stuff 6 misjudge Him and His severity 7 misguide His sons and daughter
These seven woes should never characterize us.
The atmosphere of our society, nor the people we serve, cannot, in any kind of way, regulate or govern our zeal and passion to seek, serve and share Jesus.
How can we avoid these seven deadly woes?
If God told you, where to find a treasure, would you believe Him?
If He told you, you'd have to search for it, would you?
If He told you, it would take more effort and longer than a single day or weekend to find it, would you commit to it?
If He told you, you're commitment would require that you will have to dig and dig and keep digging, would you dig until you find it?
If He told you, that you will need to share what, where and how you found the treasure you found, would you?
If I give you a hint, where this hunt for the treasure can be found, will you go check it out?
Let's see... go read and reread Proverbs 2 and if you trust and do what He says, you will find what I found. Glory!!!
