This is in book 3 of the Psalms. It is a psalm of corporate (as opposed to individual) thanksgiving or gratitude. In times of seeming anarchy (cf. Ps. 74), believers must focus on God's certain, future judgment. God WILL set things right. We live in fallen world, facing injustice seemingly every day. Where will we turn to find genuine justice?

3) We should praise God for His certain judgment—75:9-10 a) The psalmist determines to praise God, in contrast to the wicked b) God reveals His righteous judgment of individuals
4) Things we need to remember: a) This psalm does not describe a deity who is aloof, uncaring, and uninvolved with his creation. (Feinberg, No One Like Him) b) The revelation of God that emerges is that of the all-powerful Lord of heaven and earth ruling by his set plans; he will ultimately destroy the wicked and save the righteous, demonstrating that he is the righteous judge of the whole earth. (Ross) c) Because God has set a time to destroy the wicked of the world and exalt the righteous, the righteous should praise him for his mighty works and warn the world of the coming judgment. (Ross)
