Jude 22-23 says, "And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." That means we are to "judge righteous judgment" as Jesus said in John 7:24; we are to show tender compassion outwardly to those who have fallen into sin and are soft-hearted and repentant; but to others who are hardened, dangerous wolves among the sheep who threaten to destroy and shipwreck the faith of many, we are to try to save them with FEAR Jude says. Not that WE are to be fearful, but that we are to try to instill the fear of God in THEM - to sternly warn them of the impending judgment that will come upon them unless they repent of their error.
