We continue our exposition of Luke's gospel and arrive at a communication from John to Christ wherein he relayed that the disciples forbade a man from casting out demons in Christ's name. We consider Christ's rebuke, that the disciples ought never have forbade the man from freeing souls of Satan's grip in the name of Christ. He teaches us that "He that is not against us is for us" - and we learn how that causes us to relate with true ecumenism towards true believers not of our ecclesiastical circle, but also consider the caution of a false ecumenism with those who are not truly for Christ. Luke 9:49-50.
