Scripture speaks of marriage as a covenant; the intimacy and liberties of that relationship are built upon the solemn oath sworn between a man and his wife. In like manner, being bound to God by His own covenant oath sealed in the blood of Christ is the basis or our rich communion and intimacy with our Lord.
