SERMON INFO
This is the interview I did with David Mattingly of CNN. It was in response to the shocking Vote for Marriage: One Man and One Woman sermon I preached on April 29, 2012. The interview was aired Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 8p and 10p (eastern) with Anderson Cooper. Anderson Cooper said I refused to come on the show. The truth is I was invited to a phone interview. I did refuse to do a phone interview.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Hello Pastor Sean, I just came across this interview. I was astounded at the similarity to my own experience. I preached a sermon against homosexuality not long after yours (I hadn't heard of you at the time)and I got the same treatment you got. The Huffington Post found it. CNN called. Anderson Cooper wanting to interview me. I declined. I think we know now why he had such an interest in interviewing people like you and me. Hateful phone calls and emails ensued. Protests, news coverage. When you said in your interview that you thought they would just move on to the next target, I laughed out loud. They did, indeed. They moved on to me. After me, came Chick-Fil-A. Who's next? In any case, continue strong in the Lord, brother. I, too, know what it is like to have a couple of sentences ripped out of a sermon and mangled until it has a horrible shape. Grace, mercy and peace, Curtis Knapp www.sermonaudio.com/new hopeks

homosexual talking points (5/11/2012)
“ Great Sermon! ”
Perhaps a better way to communicate the gay marriage issue: The CCC says that homosexual acts are "contrary to the natural law" and can never be approved and that marriage is the sacramental union of a man and a woman. "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that 'homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered,'" says the Catechism. "They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved. "The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible," says the Catechism. "This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition. "Homosexual persons are called to chastity," says the Catechism. "Sexuality is ordered to the conjugal love of man and woman."

Thank you Pastor, for speaking the truth, as soon as read the headlines, I knew there was more to the story. I can't believe that anyone considers being against homosexuality shocking. It wasn't too long ago that it was the other way around! I'm also tired of the media and pro-LGBT misusing the word "tolerance". Tolerance to me doesn't mean accepting or agreeing to what the Lord clearly says is an abomination to him. Please stay encouraged and keep speaking for the truth. There just as many supporters as people who oppose you. I have a lesbian sister, and I pray everyday that she is set free from this destructive lifestyle.
