Genesis 22:1-14 - A peculiar trial & command given by God is met with peculiar obedience & faith by Abraham. Of course, it is prophetic and a picture of what Christ would come to do for lost sinners, such as us. Christ would be punished for our sins, not his own (for He has none).
Abrahams faith proves that God was "Number 1" in his life. Is God "number 1" in your life by His grace?
Do you truly believe in the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. Do you live by faith in Christ? Or are you still holding onto those dearest "Isaac's" in your life, putting them above God in your life?
Are you willing to part with all, as Abraham did, that you may win Christ? Abrahams believed in the promises of God and it was accounted to him for Righteousness? Will you?
