Though none are subject to another, they can benefit from one another's peace, love, and mutual edification; therefore it is the duty of each local church to pray for other local bodies, and if possible, have communion with them. WALDRON'S SUMMARY of para. 15: The possible reasons for such assemblies are difficulties, differences and injuries between churches or in one church. The biblical basis for such assemblies is the biblical doctrine of seeking counsel and not being wise in our own conceits (Gal. 2:2; Prov. 3:5–7; 12:15; 13:10).
