Great Sermon! I love hearing Paul's sermons. I have listened to about a dozen of them. Always challenging! I had two problems with this sermon though, and I don't know if you care to address them. 1. When you spoke of us as branches, you then spoke of us as trees bearing fruit. In this illustration, we aren't trees, but grape branches - attached to the grape vine. 2. This also came out later when you spoke of us as branches and Him as the True Vine. you even said that the agricultural picture was broken here. The branches, again, in this illustration, are grape branches. Grape branches grow from the vine. They are attached to the vine. That is where they begin. If it were a grape tree, the vine would be the trunk of the tree. Grapes don't come from trees though. They come from vines. They grow on branches that stem from the vine. The other Bible allusion is to our being grafted in to an olive tree. That isn't the same text. Nor is it the same allusion. I also think that even if Sampson were as big as Schwarzenegger, he could never have lifted that gate and carried that far in such a short time - even with a backhoe - aside from the presence of the power of God. I love your sermons. Do you have a speaking calendar posted somewhere. I would love to be able to hear you preach live sometime.

Great Sermon! Every cell of my body rejoices at this message. The longer I walk with christ the more I realize my every breathe, movement, action needs to be emptied of self. I ask daily to be emptied of self and that the holy spirit would flow through me to touch those I see each day, to be my thoughts, my words, my wisdom my strength. Yet what I most affirm in this message is that, although I do sin daily, I also repent daily, I do not walk in shame or false humility, I know I am an undisciplined sinner, yet christ in me allows me to walk as a princess daughter of the most high God. In the midst of suffering and circumstaces that are disasterous, i choose to duct tape my self to the cross of Jesus Christ knowing that all my joy and peace and deliverance comes through him. That I am not responsible to figure out the solutions to the problems around me but to trust my lord to be my husband to figure things out. yet to be present in the difficulties of this world with others who suffer.
Brother Paul put into wordsthis concept I have been perceiving and living for quite some time. It makes one a peculiar people to live this way, even in the standard brand church. We dont live righteously, we dont have the ability, Gos through the power of the holy spirit through us, makes us righteous.

Great Sermon! Paul Washer is right on the False cisterns. Today, the reformed circles are idolizing children, nationalism and homeschooling as the end all be all. They fail to realise that nothing is guaranteed. It is only and solely by the grace of God can our children be saved!
The Patriarchy movement ought to heed the warnings.

Great Sermon! This sermon was used as a growth tool for me, thank you. Towards the end when you said the branch didn't have to go on, although this is true, I believe that is why God prunes the ones that don't bear fruit. A branch does need to exist in order to bear fruit, that is the reason for our existence, to bear fruit. I hope that helped. God bless, and I enjoy the honesty God brings through you!

Want to know how to know God? Listen !!! This sermon is absolutely biblical. Brother Paul is a faithful servant. We are blessed to hear an exposition of John 15. Sometimes you just wonder why you can't bear any fruit and keep on striving for nothing. Well here's why - because we forget that we must ABIDE IN HIM!!!
Hope you can listen to this, God bless
