Love the Brotherhood I Peter 2:17 FEAR GOD LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD HONOR ALL MEN HONOR THE KING
Two questions come to mind in Love the Brotherhood. 1. What is love? 2. What is the Brotherhood?
I Thess. 5:11-14 1. v. 11 -- Encourage and Build up one another. 2. v. 2. v. 12-13a -- Honor your spiritual leaders a) Your duty to your Pastors, or elders Know them. Esteem them. You esteem them because you know them. You have seen their work. You have experienced their work. They live among you. They are not unapproachable celebrities. They are men who live among you. You can know them.
b) Your pastor's duty to you. To labor for you. (Paul, willing to spend and be spent.) To lead you (Over you in the Lord) To instruct you (admonish) = noutheteo to put in mind of -- to caution or reprove gently -- to warn
3. v. 13b -- Be at peace among yourselves.
a) Warn the unruly – v. 14a ataktous = literally -- the unarranged, disorderly

Great Sermon! Therefore, listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to 'do wickedness, And from the almighty to do wrong. "For He pays a man according to 'his work', And
And makes him find it according to his way.
"Surely, God will not act wickedly,
And the Almighty will not pervert justice.
"Who gave Him authority over the earth?
And who has laid on Him the whole world?
"If He should determine to do so,
If He should gather to Himself His Spirit and His breath,
All flesh would perish together.
And man would return to dust.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. I found this command repeated elsewhere in the N.T. 10 times! :)
