IN THIS OUR FIFTH STUDY OF ACTS 9, we continue in the pause or summary described verse 32. The history of the New Testament Church follows pretty much sequentially and according to a pretty close timline. The events of Acts 1-9 have pretty well followed in a relatively short period of time of perhaps a 2 or 3 years.
With Acts 9:31 we have a summary verse which tells how things went for the next extended period of time. In the remaining verses, we hear about some remarkable healings that indicate that the time of first fruits continued through the work and ministry of the Apostles.
Of a literary matter, we hear at the close of the chapter that Peter as dwelling in Joppa at a certain place. This is preparing us for a connected event in Chapter 10... that of Peter being called to the house of Cornelius.
