King Josiah was the last good king of Judah. He was only eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned 31 years (2Chron. 34:1-2). He began his reign approximately 639 BC. In the eighth year of his reign, “while he was yet young” (2Chron. 34:3), being about 16 years old, King Josiah “began to seek after the God of David his father.” 1. THE KING'S COVENANT 2Chronicles 34:29-33; James 4:6-7, 'But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.'
