Today's resurrection message is taken from Psalm 22, where many of the crucifixion prophecies originated. "My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me." "They pierced my hands and My feet." "For my clothing they cast lots." We see the sufferings of Christ in full display, foretold hundreds of years before the fact. Though the psalm never mentions the resurrection, it is implied, for by the end of the Psalm, this same suffering Man who was pierced is the ruler of the nations. Praise God that we serve a risen Savior who has accomplished redemption, saved us and who has risen to intercede for us and to rule the nations.
