All Scripture is God-breathed--all of it is inspired by God, and it governs our faith. In this study, we look at these facts: 1) Scripture is sufficient--it is the only infallible source of what we must believe and practice; 2) The doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture protects us from new "scripture" written by false prophets, it shields us from the errors of mysticism, and it shields us from those who elevate tradition to the status of infallibility; 3) There is a useful place for tradition (creeds, confessions, Christian learning of previous generations) as resources, but they are subservient to Scripture; 4) We look at four views of the relationship of tradition to Scripture, with one of those views being correct.
