Intro. A blessed difficulty in wrapping our hearts around this Psalm
What is the key, or center, or heart of this Psalm?
Is it not the heart of Sin?
Is it not the experience of Forgiveness, the heart of a contrite soul?
It is rather the heart of God - verse 1 A. Hinneh = Charis - Grace! B. Hesed = Agape - Love! C. Greatness of Racham = Eleos - Mega Mercy!
Thus, the GRACE OF THE GOD OF LOVE WHO IS COMPASSIONATE, is the heart of the rest of the Psalm. Without verse 1, there are no verses 2-19.
