“ Important Message ” The danger is that the fanatics of the past, identified here, are still in print which then can influence others today with the same infection of a false zeal. These are still quoted today, even on this website, and include such as AW Tozer, EM Bounds, and many others, past and present. The Wesley's when examined also fit this description, which gave rise to many modern hymns and the use of music in churches. Music is an important element of such fanaticism.

“ Great Sermon! ” I must say...I am guilty of "fanaticism". I have seen this "fanaticism" in others and upon the advice of the Apostle Paul "examine yourselves" and this message find myself in error. Father God Almighty....please forgive me. I will be evermore fervant to read the Word and more zealous to listen. God give me discernment and to God be the Glory!

“ Great Sermon on the whole, and individual parts! ” For further light on fanaticism, besides Jonathan Edwards (who is a must), get the book, War on the Saints Unabridged edition by Jessie Penne Lewis who witnessed the same problem during the Welsh revival of 1904-5. God used this to help deliver me from my own fanaticism. Hannah Whittall Smith's Christian's Secret of a Happy Life and God of All Comfort helped too in my deliverance, who also warns against it with remedies. KJV too. May God bear this witness to those in need.

“ For the most part..a worthy sermon ” This is a worthy sermon about religious excesses that becomes relgious fanatacism among Christians. Unfortunately he lumps dispensationalism's teaching of the pretribulational rapture (I Thess. 1:10 & 4:13-5:11) along with Arminianism, Pentecostalism and Revivalism. But this is not wholly unexpected since brother Murray as a Presbyterian holds to Covenant Theology. But his bias dispensationalism does not ruin the worth of the sermon.
