We conclude this 9-part series by returning to Jesus' joy or happiness. Our joy is to share in the victorious work of Jesus as He, by His Spirit, saves His people & builds His church. We rejoice in our salvation; in the establishment & growth of the church; in suffering for Jesus; & in the anticipation of eternal glory. Only Jesus can give us this joy, so we must ask Him for it. It is a joy that will grow only as we engage in the warfare & experience the victories which are ours in the power of the Spirit. Our joy is not a giddy superficial circumstantial sentiment, but a profound disposition of conscience & contentment, knowing that as we live in Christ, we are glorifying our God & Father & experiencing that profound sense of fulfillment that comes by being & doing what God made us to be & do - "to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." (Eph 3:21)
