“ Great Sermon! ” Very good sermon on Christian giving. The Old Testament tithe was great value for Israel compared to government taxation. The Levi tribe provided the High Priest who could atone for the nations sin, they provided the scribes who copid and preserved the word of God. they maintained the temple and provided great choirs and musicians for beautiful worship of God. They provided the teachers to teach the young men to read and write and love the word of God and finally they provided all the judges and maintained the judicial system. If Levi fllfilled all these requirements, all the tribes were promised blessings on the land and in the animals and a cure for diseases. What a great inheritance was the tithe and how they were condenmed by Jesus for neglecting so rich a blesing from God.
How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salavation, as a Royal Priesthood to God, with greater promises than Levi,
God bless and keep you faithful to the end Brother Henry, I would love to meet you one day but will definetly see you in eternity,
