1. The Law had the shadow of the good things to come, but it was not the good things itself. It bore witness, but was not the image-just as a shadow of a hamburger is not a hamburger. The body or substance of all the matters that the Law testified of were in Christ.
2. And so, He came to do the will of God-to end the purification of sin by His death on the cross.
3. The sacrifice/blood of Christ cleanses the conscience of the guilt of sin because in His sacrifice there is no remembrance of sin no more because He did it once for all time.
4. The believer is sanctified by the will of God and by the offering of Christ once for all time.
5. If righteousness is of Christ, and redemption is of Christ then sanctification/holiness is of Christ. If sanctification is of the sinner then-the sinner is still under the rudiments of the Levitical priesthood and its weakness which could never perfect a sinner before God.
6. That and more and this is a wonderful gospel testimony and guess what? It is free!

Great Sermon! Praise the Lord for we are no longer living under the shadow of the Law but rejoicing in the light of the Son of God whose blood is better than the blood of bulls and goats and purifies our conscience from all guilt and shame. "It is finished" the Law is retired.
