Pastor Curt continued his exposition of Revelation, focusing on the glorious vision of Christ as revealed to John and written for the instruction of the church of Christ. Pastor Curt made no apologies for NOT preaching a special Christmas sermon, as what better picture of Christ could be preached than this. John is addressing a church that was experiencing much persecution. After looking at how John is a partaker with “us” we considered the vision of the son of man. John was drawing very heavily upon Daniel chapters 7 & 10 for the details of this description as he gives us a seven fold description of the Glorified Christ. The upshot is that “this Christ, is able to protect His Blood bought people and bring about His sovereign purposes'.
This vision is a symbolic picture of Christ, His outward appearance clearly points to the inward reality of who He is in His attributes. Listen and worship God Alone!
