In the previous sermons I have sought to address the objective issues of God's sovereign providence and the devil's influence in the life of Job. In other words, I wanted to explain the book of Job itself – why and how his horrible circumstances changed so dramatically in such a short period of time. Now I want to begin to explore the subjective impact all this had upon Job, and the manner in which he responded to it, both initially and thereafter. There is so much wisdom in this that will point us to our Savior and enrich our lives. May God give us greater understanding about our own frailty and His ability.
