Suicide is the act of choosing to end one's own life. Here we have two men at opposite ends of the spectrum. Saul was an old man while the amour bearer was most likely a teenager. The king was important, a celebrity, and the soldier was a a “nobody”, we don't even have his name. They both were under great pressure that while real wasn't as close as they believed. Somewhere somebody was left crying over them, missing their loved one's. The pressure and pain is also very real on saints of God. Our enemy wants to destroy us in any way possible. Here we can see the correlation between these two men and ourselves. The actual methods may be different but they can still be just as effective if we don't draw near the Lord.
