Those of us in Christ have an Inheritance. Don't take it for granted. Our Inheritance:
1. Comes from GOD. v. 3 a. God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ b. Jesus asked to pray to "our father in heaven" c. Sourced in God accessed through Jesus the Lord d. May our hearts truly bless our God Psalm 145:1-21
2. Flows from GOD His great mercy V.3 a. Greek word that means "much" b. Not out of the abundance but "according to" His great mercy c. He shares the very essence of His divine measure d. Ephesians "But God made us alive together in Christ for by grace you have been saved" e. Mercy, don't getting what we deserve. f. Every gift we have flows out of God's merciful grace. Psalm 150:1-6
3. Received at conversion v. 3 a. His Mercy has driven us to Christ b. Born again to live a life of hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ c. We will be one day in heaven, on that glorious day, we will be free from the presence of Sin.
4. Is Eternal v4-5 a. The inheritance is imperishable, undefiled and will not fade away. b. Imperishable - unable to be corrupted. It will never decay or die c. Undefiled - absolutely unpolluted. It is 100% pure.
5. Is secure v 4-5 a. Kept by the power of God b. Nothing can take us from he hands of our God. c. We are kept by the power of God. Or Inheritance is secured by the power of god; ready to be given to us when He brings us home.
