“ Believe on Christ is a COMMAND, not an invitation! ”
Words fail me to describe the clarity,simplicity and power of this message on the COMMAND to BELIEVE on CHRIST! In this day the Gospel message is presented as an invitation,like this Pastor has brillantly illustrated,to a wedding, a party, etc., which are invitations you can refuse,not a command which is to be obeyed. This message was an eye opening truth I never really saw before. I thought of Billy Graham and his famous crusades and how he would "invite" people to "walk the aisle" and "come to Christ." Sadly, many people accepted the "invitation" and no doubt, some may have been genuinely converted in spite of this methodology, not because of it. Also, how much more is God glorified in the salvation of a sinner when His command is obeyed, by His grace, than a "God" who must wait to see if you "accept" His "invitation." |
