Jude writes to those who are battling with heresy and doctrinal error. Some of these that he is writing to; are being carried away. Their faith weakened, their spiritual lives assaulted, some are even being taught things that is leading them straight to the lake of fire. So he commands that those who are spiritually able, spiritually mature; to reach out and make a difference in those who are floundering. Some will receive our help. While others will not. It takes spiritual discernment to look at others and ascertain just how much danger they are in…and react accordingly. Some only need a gentle rebuke, a kind word, a slight doctrinal correction. While others are in imminent danger. And we should be built up enough, prayed up enough, and close enough to God that we can discern the level of danger of those around us.
