How Can We Push Through?
We render Him faithful.
We seek, support, stand, and serve Him with our trust.
We take Him at His word, rendering Him faithful, true, and trustworthy.
We believe Him, His message, and His messengers.
Believing is similar to swimming. Wanting to swim is not swimming. Wanting to believe and believing are not equal or the same.
Wanting to trust God and trusting Him is NOT the same... but I have found that many get the two confused. You see, the one (those wanting to trust) places a higher value upon their own faith, which is saying their trust is worth more than Him and the other says, I trust Him, He's greater and worth more than our trust and obedience can ever imagine.
Faith is not blind... not at all! Blindness is the inability to distinguish light and darkness. It takes light to see. Faith sees the purest and best light known to man, the very light or revelation of God. Hearing is essential in the kingdom because hearing from God is seeing in God's world. Faith doesn't have to see it all, it only needs to see what God is graciously revealing at the time. And faith never demands all the details before it says, "Yes!"... faith ONLY knows how to follow the voice of the Shepherd.
When anyone is MORE concerned about being noticed for what they're doing, or SEEN for what they're not doing, while they claim to trust in "God" they cannot be following the one they "claim" to trust. Why? Because their desire to be trusted by "God" consumes their attention and supersedes their personal need to simply put their trust in Jesus.
Don't confuse the two... wanting trust FROM someone and properly placing trust IN someone are two totally different aspect |
