Even as we devise more and more tools to measure time more accurately and manage it better, it increasingly feels like time controls us, and not the other way around. Sure, (chronological) time can be measured. On the other hand, timing can only be perceived. And, to accurately determine when timing is appropriate, one needs some level of maturity. In 1 Corinthians 7:29-31, Paul steps back from addressing the important issues of marriage, singleness, intimacy, etc. to address the present timing and the wisdom needed to live in a way that pleases God in this current timing.
Five Radical Perspectives Necessary to Live in a Way That Pleases God 1. We should have a radical view of relationships. (2 Corinthians 5:9; Mark 12:25) 2. God expects a radical view of trials. (Romans 8:28-29; Genesis 50:20) 3. God expects a radical view of blessings. (1 Peter 1:13) 4. God expects a radical view of possessions. 5. God expects a radical view of earthly endeavors.
