Please pray for the Family Night Service at Bethany Free Presbyterian Church, Portadown, on Sunday 30th October, 2005. (God Willing)

The preacher will be our Pastor, Rev Kenneth Elliott, and the soloist will be Mr Geoffrey Sloss.

The Family Night Service has become a regular feature at Bethany, being held on the last Sunday of each month. A special push is made to try and get those in who normally don`t go to Church on a Sunday.

Many have been blessed in the past by these services, and we would ask you to remember this service specially in your prayers, that the Lord would move in this meeting and that souls will be saved.

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Me." (John 12:32)

I heard something today, that I thought was very good, and want to share it here. Maybe you have heard it before, but I had never heard it put this way.

The first recorded Words of the Lord Jesus, in relation to His Life on earth, were:

"And He said unto them, How is it that ye sought Me? wist ye not that I must be about My Father’s Business?" (Luke 2:49)

The last recorded Words of the Lord Jesus, before He Died, were :

"It is Finished." (John 19:30)

In other words, the Saviour`s first recorded Words were concerning His Father's Work, and His final Words before He Died, were also about His Father's Work, and the completion of it.
