Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. Psalm 29:1-3
TRUST AND REST
I once heard someone say, "I am a born worrywart." This is true of all of us. Whatever failure or sin we have, we were born with it. But since we have been born again in Christ by the grace of God, we have certain qualities and graces we did not have before. One of these graces is TRUST. We TRUST our Heavenly Father as a small child trusts his earthly father. Our Heavenly Father loves us much more than we are capable of loving our children, and He has all power and authority over any demon or danger we may encounter! A natural father does not have such power and is limited in his ability to protect or care for the child of his love. Do you and I not realize that no person, no power, no disease, no death can touch one of His own without His permission? Did not Satan himself say of Job, "God, have you not put a hedge about him, and his house, and all that he has, on every side?" Did not David write, "A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you"? Dear believer, whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever danger you may imagine, TRUST your Father and REST in His arms. "He will not leave you nor forsake you, so that you may boldly say, the Lord is my helper, I WILL NOT FEAR."

One Look From The Lord
“And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny Me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.” (Luke 22:61-62).
The truth of Peter’s denial of the Lord is recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But in Luke’s account, there’s something concerning the Lord’s reaction toward Peter, and Peter’s immediate response, after his denial, that especially grips my heart. The word declares; “And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter; And Peter remembered the word of the Lord.”
Here we’re taught that the Lord beholds and knows us, His people; “He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.” But how painful it is when we’re allowed to behold that truth within ourselves. One look from the Lord he denied three times, broke Peter’s heart; for that look was not a look of condemnation, which surely would be deserved, but rather was a look of mercy and compassion from Him who came into this world to save His people from their sins...and with that look, “Peter went out, and wept bitterly.”

HIS BLOOD ALONE
The vital thing to understand about the blood of Christ is this: IT IS ENOUGH! Nothing else is needed to accomplish the salvation of all for whom His blood was shed. Not His blood plus my works; not His blood plus my “decision”; not His blood plus the ordinances; not His blood plus church membership; not even His blood plus my faith – His blood purchased my faith. HIS BLOOD ALONE paid the price required by His justice, and His blood alone can make a sinner clean. “By His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having OBTAINED (not made possible) eternal redemption for us” (Heb. 9:12). NO KING - NO SIGHT
“In those days (in the days of the judges) there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 17:6; Judges 21:25) Today we live in a time where there is no King of kings in men and women’s hearts. The result is the same. Every man and woman is doing what is right in their own eyes. The wise man Solomon said, “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” (Proverbs 12:15) “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.” (Proverbs 21:2)
I am continually adding to the list of things that I desire to be delivered from. I want to be delivered from my way, my will, my work, my sin, and now my sight, or in other words, “myself.” Lord, please don’t allow me to do what is right in my own eyes. Again, I quote the wise man Solomon. “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12; Proverbs 16:25). Pastor David Eddmenson
The Saints of God
“To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 1:7).
Who are these saints to whom Paul is writing? Every believer who is saved by the grace of God is a saint. We are totally sanctified in the Lord Jesus Christ, by His effectual blood sacrifice for us (Heb. 10:14; 1 Peter 1:18-20). The Lord Jesus Christ is made to the believer sanctification; He is our total sanctification before God the Father (1 Cor. 1:30). There is no such thing as progressive sanctification. We grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ (2 Peter 3:18) but our wicked flesh is never sanctified (Rom. 7:18-24). Sanctification is the work of the Holy Spirit making us new creatures in Christ, giving unto us a new holy nature in the new birth (2 Cor. 5:17, 2 Peter 1:4). That which is of the flesh is just that flesh but that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (John 3:6; Eph. 4:24).
