Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare. When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly. The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah. Psalm 75:1-3
My Grace is Sufficient For Thee
(2 Cor. 12:7-10)
GRACE IS WHAT I NEED – God’s free, abundant, satisfying, sanctifying grace! I need grace to believe God and to continue in that faith. I need grace to give and forgive, grace to love and be loved, grace to live and grace to die. If I have little grace, the fault is mine; for His grace is called, “abundant grace.” The Lord may not give gold, but He will give grace. He may not give ease in life, but He will give grace in proportion to my need. He will certainly send me trials, but never without the grace to overcome. I may ask God for something which is not for my good and therefore He is not pleased to give it, but I may ask for as much grace as I will, and it will never be refused; for His throne is literally a throne of grace! “Lord, fill me with Thy grace, make me an object of Thy grace, let my lips speak of Thy grace, and let my life be lived as a trophy of Thy grace!”

WHY WORRY YOURSELVES?
I have never seen a problem solved, a trouble averted, or a difficulty overcome by worrying. Have you? Worry does not help you. It does not honor the Lord. It gives no credibility to the gospel. Are we believers? Is God our Father? Is Christ our Lord and Savior? If so, we have no reason to worry. We can trust the infinite wisdom of God, rest in the power of the Almighty, depend upon the goodness of our Father, rely upon his faithfulness, and count on His promises. He will never fail!

A BETTER COVENANT
“But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.” (Hebrews 8:6)
We who preach and believe salvation by God’s grace have a more excellent ministry because we have a more excellent message: the covenant of God’s grace. The covenant of grace is more excellent than the covenant of law because the covenant of grace is dependent on Christ not the sinner. The covenant of grace is more excellent because it depends on God’s eternal grace not the works of the sinner. The covenant of grace is more excellent because it forgives sin instead of charging with sin. The covenant of grace is more excellent because it imputes righteousness not sin. The covenant of grace is more excellent because it gives freedom not a burden, peace not war, rest not work, life not death, and light not darkness. Thank God for a more excellent covenant!

JESUS CHRIST THE PREACHER Psalm 40:9-10
"I have preached righteousness in the great congregation" There can be no doubt in our mind who is speaking these words. The proceeding verses declare plainly that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming to accomplish God’s will in the matter of our salvation. The book of Hebrews quotes these words and applies them to our Saviour Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:5-10). Truly, Jesus Christ is the only sacrifice for sin (Heb. 9:12) and the only Mediator between God and sinners (1 Tim. 2:5). But never forget that He is also God’s Prophet to reveal unto us the only way of salvation (Matt. 11:27). Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the promise God made unto Moses in Deut. 18:18, "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
In this scripture Psalm 40:10 we are told what the Lord Jesus Christ has preached unto His Church, "I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation."
The Lord has faithfully and ably declared these five things:
1). God’s righteousness. He proclaimed the holiness of God and the righteousness He provided for His church (Phil. 3:9: Rom. 4:6; Rom. 10:1-4).
2). God’s faithfulness. Our God is faithful to His covenant, His Word, and His people (Joshua 23:14; 1 Cor.1:9; Rom 4:21).
3). God’s salvation. Christ said on the cross, "it is finished" (John 19:30). All the sins of God’s people were atoned for at Calvary and God’s justice was satisfied and His mercy honored to enable God to be a Just God and Saviour (Rom. 3:26: Isa. 45:21).
4). God’s lovingkindness. Our Lord gave Himself for our sins to demonstrate this love God has toward His people (1 John 3:5, 4:10).
5). God’s truth. Jesus Christ is the truth in salvation (John 14:6). Christ is the truth that sets us free from sin, death and judgment (John 8:32).
