The Fruit of Repentance in Marriage
What are the fruits of repentance in marriage?Don Hart explains in this video that just as it is not natural for a wife to submit to her husband it is not natural for a husband to love his wife. Both come as a result of a changed heart and real faith.
So often, husbands are happy to abdicate their responsibility to not be spiritual leaders, protectors, and providers. That is our nature. Our nature is to be selfish and lazy. Part of what repentance looks like in the home is seeing a husband and a wife doing the things that would come as a result of a saved man and woman turning in a new direction.
Ephesians 5:25 (NKJV) – “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.”
