Chinese Jailed Pastor Publishes Poetry Encouraging Believers
Chinese Pastor John Cao, who serves a seven-year jail term in China, has written a poetry book urging believers to realize that Jesus Christ will never forsake them. Christ, he adds, gives treasures nobody can take away.
At least one of the poems, smuggled out of prison and obtained by Worthy News, refers to recent experiences.
It comes amid concerns about the plight of Cao, a permanent U.S. resident who was jailed on charges related to his Christian work in Burma, also known as Myanmar, since 1989.
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) authorities detained Pastor Cao for â€śorganizing illegal crossings of national bordersâ€ť in 2017. Christians linked the charges to his support for impoverished communities in Burmaâ€™s autonomous Wa area....
Time for some American pastors to follow in Paul's footsteps too. But, I guess our Gospel doesn't warrant that type of response from the beast (government). And I don't think are any 501(c)(3) congregations in the nation of the Red Dragon that keep pastors passive.
What a sweet aroma of Jesus the Pastors consoling poem has and brings to mind Christ's caring promises that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:35-39) and being with us always, even to the end of the world. (Matt 28:20).
