Facebook has removed the page of a Christian ministry that works with individuals struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction and gender confusion.
The Restored Hope Network – based in Colorado Springs – describes itself as "a coalition of ministries serving those who desire to overcome sinful relational and sexual issues in their lives and those impacted by homosexuality."

As I was reviewing the news this morning I came across an article about The Social Dilemma. Also viewed the 2:35 trailer of the video of the same name you spoke of. In summary, nothing there I wasn't already aware of.
I'm a seasoned citizen and my conservative Christian values have been settled decades ago so it's not likely that Google or Facebook, etc. are going to be able to influence me with their radical leftist agenda and strategies. And I suspect they already know that. Their target audience are most likely the young minds of mush that the universities haven't already indoctrinated into radical Marxist anarchists. And for those who have already been indoctrinated, to further their leftist radicalism. This is obvious from all the BLM/Antifa riot participants the past several months.
In conclusion, your concerns regarding Facebook are valid but your broad-brush condemnation of Christian Facebook users tells me you don't trust our Lord and Savior's ability to lose none of all the Father gave Him to redeem in time. (John 6:39)

Goats are goats NOT because of social media, rather, because they believe a false gospel. Sheep are sheep because they've been elected unto life, NO ONE or NOTHING can take them out of Christ's hand. They believe in His finished work, and they continually rest in Him. Social media has no bearing on anybody's eternal fate. The real danger are all the false teachers/gospels/professors who are on EVERY kind of platform, including SA. The self righteous always point to 'self', what you do, as 'evidence' of salvation, but, the bible says you will know them by their fruit, by what doctrine they adhere to, what Gospel they believe in. I see more divisiveness on THIS forum than I've ever seen on FB.

Lurker, "So if I close my account can I become a sheep?" No kidding

Google and other search engines do the same thing and many of my product searches have resulted in targeted ads for the same product on the sites that SermonAudio offers as news items. It's a fact of life in the digital age. So your wife has a Facebook account? The plot thickens. Beware that "Chistian" may judge her an unregenerate goat. So now I'm defending Facebook? Maybe you need to do some research into what the bible says about bearing false witness.

The difference between a program like Facebook and a knife is thus:
One can be programmed to control thoughts and actions, we all know this. The power of advertising is well known. I can threaten someone with a knife to do something, but if the knife just sits in the knife-block, it has no sway over the thoughts and minds of society.
Facebook and Twitter were used extensively throughout Trump's campaign. Why? Because they are powerful tools that can be used to control the masses. Facebook, run by antichristian people who support Islam, homosexuality, environmentalism and the like cannot be trusted to guide us on a daily basis in the ways of truth. Hence the reason to either limit your time on it or get off altogether.

FB has long been known for controlling its users. An easy way to figure this out is my wife went on Canadian Tire for one thing or the other and all of the sudden, FB had ad after ad on with coupon from Canadian Tire for her to see. Not only that but she has Facebook Purity installed because of all the ungodly ads. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that FB can be quite dangerous, it just takes a brain.

Lurker wrote: Okay, thanks for clearing that up about a preview. You clearly have a negative bias about Facebook and that's your right. You do well to avoid it. But you do not do well, as a professing Christian, to judge other Christians as unregenerate goats simply because they use Facebook. You know absolutely nothing about me or my walk with God to be able to make that judgment. And it is clear to me that you know very little about Facebook. Right about what?
Thanks for proving my point, and you are correct I'm not a FB user. I understand you are. Look at what FB does to Christians and ask your self why am I defending them?

You don't have a Netflix subscription? Then how do you know what your recommended movie has to say?
