Barr rejects 'systemic racism' claim in CNN interview
"There were 10 cases last year; six of them the suspect was attacking the police officer physically," he said. "So they are rare things compared to the 7,000 to 8,000 young black men who are killed every year [by other blacks]."
Barr said "the word 'systemic' means that it's built into the institution, and I don't think that's true."
"I think our institutions have been reformed in the past 60 years, and if anything has been built-in, it's a bias to nondiscrimination and safeguards against that," the AG said....
The Navajo Nation will disagree with Mr. Barr, and even though they have Republican members in the tribe, one might wonder how they'll vote? they make a big block of voters in States like Arizona and New Mexico āš It sounds from the article, they're ready to go on the warpath
"Navajo Nation, reeling from coronavirus, focuses attention on elections"
Anyone with even a few rational brain cells can observe that there are no police (a job consisting of all races and both genders) in America hunting down and murdering innocent Blacks. What the statistics do show that the VAST majority of Blacks were murdered by other Blacks. And all races of criminals have been killed in confrontations with police not so much for resisting arrest but making threatening gestures against police.
But I do believe that there is systemic racism of a murderous kind that is still going on and is perpetuated by the Democratic Party who has ALWAYS had a lock on systemic racism in America since before the Civil War (and afterwards). Today in Democratic governed cities and states they allow Blacks to murder and terrorize Black neighborhoods. They allow and promote the murder of millions of Black babies through the use of PP and Democratic sponsored medical programs. They keep the Black youth ignorant by refusing to teaching revisionist history and the basic fundamental foundations of basic education that can break the cycle of inner-city poverty caused by fatherlessness but instead teach poisonous Democratic socialist ideals and division. They treat Blacks as chattle to be taken for granted and abused. But... this year there will be a change.

Yes sir! If no one ever resisted when stopped, this pandemic of hate would quickly be solved. Unfortunately, none seem to be interested in an inoculation of reality.

Barr said there does "appear to be a phenomena in the county where African Americans feel that they are treated, when they are stopped by police frequently, as suspects before they are treated as citizens."
"I don't think that necessarily reflects some deep-seeded racism in police departments or in most police officers," he said. "I think the same kind of behavior is done by African-American police officers."
The above is from the article.
I remember when Giuliani was mayor of NYC. He was accused of racial profiling. He responded by saying eye witnesses saw a black male do it, so who I supposed to stop. Same silly arguments today.
Nice Try Jim; But your wanting to be grand master Spin, has been exposed & sadly stating. As the lives of Babies have been taken away forever!
Jim; Your sin will find you out & it will always be exposed by truth; Jhn 3:18-20;!
# 1 of black lives taken out annually in America by abortion is more than twice the current number (138,101 as of April 16th) of total coronavirus deaths worldwide. Thirty-five percent of abortions in the U.S. are among African-Americans, according to the CDC. If we applied that to the total number of U.S. abortions reported by the (pro-abortion) Guttmacher Institute in 2017 (862,320 abortions of which 301,812 of them were committed on black babies), there are an estimated 827 black lives wiped out by abortion every single day.
Oprah tried the same folly of your logic, as your reasoning leads one to Hell!
The response from the Left here shows their desperate clinging to the narrative that must be true or their world falls apart.
Everyone clings to some narrative in some way. For some, it's the mantra of the Left and the Marxist. For others, it's the Lord of "the good life" of wealth and freedom to pursue dreams, etc. But for Christians, the narrative we must cling to is the Gospel - that Jesus Christ came into the world and put on flesh to save sinners of which I am chief. I saw something somewhere that those who come to saving faith and repentance unto life reject the Marxist and the hedonist ways. Jim, you would do well to run to Christ rather than Marx and Mao.
Well, Jim, since you are such an adherent of science and statistics, consider this: āYale epidemiology professor Dr. Harvey Risch said [July 21] that he believes the President Trump-touted drug, hydroxychloroquine, could save up to 100,000 lives if used properly to treat the coronavirus.ā So why arenāt we using it? āItās a political drug now, not a medical drug,ā said Dr. Risch. āI think we are basically fighting a propaganda war against the medical facts.ā In other words, President Trump was right, all of the doctors and even the mainstream media know he was right, but the left-wingers would rather let tens of thousands of people die than to admit that Mr. Trump was could ever be right about anything. By the way, donāt bother asking for a URL. I got this information from a newspaper. Remember those?
āWhites believe that they have replaced blacks as the primary victims of racial discrimination in contemporary America, according to a new study from researchers at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Business School. The findings, say the authors, show that America has not achieved the āpost-racialā society that some predicted in the wake of Barack Obama's election. āBoth whites and blacks agree that anti-black racism has decreased over the last 60 years, according to the study. However, whites believe that anti-white racism has increased and is now a bigger problem than anti-black racism.ā (From Social Work Today) Studies, like statistics and even scripture, can be used to supposedly prove just about anything, canāt they, Jim? Have you ever considered joining the real world, or do you enjoy your fantasyland too much to leave it?
Dartunorro Clark wrote: .... Many studies and real-life accounts from Black Americans dispute Barr's claims.
The Washington Post created a massive, real-time police shooting database following the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014. An analysis of the data published five years later, in August 2019, found that Black Americans account for 36 percent of unarmed police shooting victims even though they are just 13 percent of the U.S. population.
A Stanford University study released last year revealed that there is a clear pattern of racial disparities in traffic stops. The study analyzed 100 million police traffic stops, the largest such dataset ever collected.
The results show that police stopped and searched Black and Latino drivers on the basis of less evidence than they used in stopping white drivers, who are searched less often but are more likely to be found with illegal item...
