The Strain the Covid Pandemic Is Putting on Marriages
For Kristin and Ilya Shapiro, the Covid pandemic has created new tensions. Lately, the spouses have argued about Mr. Shapiro’s travel schedule: Ms. Shapiro doesn’t like that it creates child-care headaches. But Mr. Shapiro says it’s important to his work as a Washington, D.C., think tank director, and offers emotional respite too.

“I would be lying if I said there haven’t been tears,” says Ms. Shapiro, a 37-year-old attorney. She is confident they will make it through together. But for now, their stress level is high. “This has been a very difficult period,” she says.

Even in the best of times, marriage and relationships are hard work. But the pandemic has produced a pressure cooker inside homes, straining even strong partnerships and, experts say, likely breaking others. Families are cooped up, with spouses trying to work while also taking care of their kids. Job losses, caring for at-risk ...

There is one more thing to consider that your med doc likely will not address. If the parasympathetic nervous system is not functioning properly it will cause an inability of your brain to calm down so you can't sleep. This is usually caused by stress which can come in many different forms and causes the very top vertebra in your neck to become misaligned which then continues to aggravate the parasympathetic nervous system and it becomes a viscous cycle.
Because my life's career has been physical work, I've been a regular chiropractic patient most of my adult life. Don't know if you have ever but you may want to spend some time searching the net for info on chiropractic care and sleep issues.
If you want to discuss further I can send an email. Let me know.
Yes, let's do it via email.

I took 50 MG for quite a while and it never worked. They have just increased me to 100 MG a couple of days ago and that also has not worked yet. I will try taking an extra 100 if I can’t sleep and will see what happens. I don’t like narcotics and this is not a narcotic.
THANK YOU BROTHER.

I take Trazadone too. Never tried anything else. My doc prescribed it about five years ago. It's not supposed to be habit forming. I recall the first time I took it I slept for a solid 14 hours. He said I could take up to 300 mg but trial and error to see what works. I started out at 50 mg and it worked for a while then not so much. So I bumped up to 100mg and has been working since. On rare occasions it doesn't, usually when there was too much stress during the day, so I get up and take another 100 mg and that usually does the job.
I don't like any drugs but not being able to sleep isn't healthy either.
Thanks for the exchange, Frank.

Nice hearing from you old friend. I am assuming you are still an ember. Anyway, I also have had sleeping problems all my life. I currently am taking something called Trazadone and it isn’t working either. I still fall asleep late, but when I do fall asleep I am really out of it. I have tried over the counter drugs and they have never worked either. It is strange how God leaves some of these things with us and delivers us from others.
I have also tried binging right before bed and usually that doesn’t work either.
Take care and I’m glad to see you are okay and posting.

That is wonderful news brother and praise His holy name. I prayed for her about an hour ago. I couldn't sleep, so I got up and noticed your comment. I really appreciate the timely update. Please tell her an old man from Fla. said hello.
The below is not for you.

Fellow Ember, what are you doing up?

"Marriage was God’s gift to a perfect world. He had said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone’, even when that man was without sin and living in holy communion with God. God in kindness saw fit to make a companion for Adam – another human being, not identical to him, but corresponding to him. God said further: ‘I will make him an help meet for him’ (Gen. 2:18) – a help suitable for him. After a brief description of how Eve was formed, we are told: ‘Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh’ (Gen. 2:24). This is the product of divine, not human wisdom."

Even in the best of times, marriage and relationships are hard work.

The above is obviously from the article.

Amen and amen.

The husbands should thank God that their wives "must" stay home and be a mother and a housewife.

Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

If you research the word desire, it means to control someone. And of course, a husband should not rule in an ungodly tyrannical way.

Since the Jezebels are on the warpath, I am just dotting all the Is and crossing all the Ts.

Covid has been a terrible burden on families. Marriages that had bumps are now met with this dilemma, the government has said, stay home for 4 months and come to the brink of bankruptcy.
So, now they say only half can go to work with only 50 occupancy, which means you cut your staff by half or cut their hours. Or the government pays people 600$ to stay home, while as a business person , they can only afford to pay their employees for the time they put on the clock and it isn’t 600$ worth.
Couple that with wearing a Covid magnet around your face all day ( the mask, everyone wears or doesn’t get to eat, buy groceries or do business) and once again Babylon is making the most idiotic decisions known to man- how can you “ trust the science “ when it changes hourly and the entire economy was put in the hands of a 80 year old virologist who recommended hiv carriers be quarantined from society, back in the 80’s. Or that the Wuhan virus would Not effect the USA in January 2020, then said wear a mask, but only if you are sick to , Now , wear your Covid infested mask everywhere. Yeah, if you’re having problems at home and at work, blame the stupid scientists.
