SF Giants Player Cites Christian Faith As Reason For Refusing To Kneel For BLM
Sam Coonrod, a 27-year-old reliever for the San Francisco Giants, explained his act by saying he only kneels before God, according to TMZ Sports.
Coonrod also said that his faith kept him from endorsing the Black Lives Matter movement because of its Marxist political platform. “I just can’t get on board with a couple things I’ve read about Black Lives Matter, how they lean towards Marxism. And … they said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can’t get on board with that.”
“In this environment of Black Lives Matter and as we talk about dismantling white supremacy and institutional oppression, we contend that religion is one area we should be looking at as well. It has been a direct contributor to that oppressive system,” said Mandisa L. Thomas, founder and president of the organization.
O’ How words have meaning to them, especially when they are played out with actions.
As we are currently are seeing being played out sadly in our own Nation.. O’ Lord You are the only one who is the answer to our sin issues we have. As we don’t have a skin color issues but a sin problem, that only Christ can bring true reconciliation too one amen!
Stalin; America is like a healthy body & its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within.”
I just can't get on board with that either, Mr. Coonrad. Poor kid. He lands in SF who's team hires a nut for a manager. Double whammy. Maybe he can get traded.
We've discussed the inner workings of BLM at length. Glad others see the dragon behind the costume too. Every life matters to the Lord and should to His people. If they didn't matter to the Lord, those people would sublimate into nothing in an instant as His active sustainment keeps their molecules together. Western ideals based on Biblical principle aren't the problem - the underlying problem is sin, esp pride and mistreating of neighbors by those people those actively engaged in committing those sins.
