This was indeed a tragic case, just showing the complete lawlessness of many people in Nigeria, including tragically federal and local governments.
I read the main article. This young lady was a student, but it seems as if her university had closed down for the COVID19. Obviously, the church has as well. I think it was one of those very large Pentecostal churches in the south of the country. She wanted a quiet place to study, (perhaps there were still online lectures, etc), so had an arrangement with the pastor to collect the key, let herself into the church building, study, lockup afterwards and return the key to the pastor. She apparently did this several times.
Sadly, it looks as if either someone or some people were watching her, or some opportunist thugs saw her go in on that last occasion, and got in, and committed rape and murder. It just shows the depth of wickedness, and needs to be fully investigated and dealt with.
Apparently, a government run by Muslims might be slow to respond to other crimes that are not directly tied to any religious group?

Although rape is a crime in Nigeria government's response to it continues to be, woefully inadequate," according to the statement posted to Twitter.
"We are deeply concerned that perpetrators of rape in Nigeria invariably escape punishment."...
