North Korea remains totally free of the coronavirus, a senior health official in Pyongyang has insisted, despite mounting scepticism overseas as confirmed global infections near one million.
The already isolated, nuclear-armed North quickly shut down its borders after the virus was first detected in neighbouring China in January, and imposed strict containment measures.
Pak Myong Su, director of the anti-epidemic department of the North's Central Emergency Anti-epidemic Headquarters, insisted that the efforts had been completely successful....

Mike, there's always more going on than we know about.
Here's a great six minute Ravenhill thunderbolt worth listening to by anybody.
Mike, I think you have a point about the relative severity and the use of this crisis for political purposes. It is hard to trust the government and the media when we know that they have a long history of lying & twisting the truth, but suddenly we're to believe them without question. Why does this virus get the priority when many die each year of influenza and pneumonia? What about other communicable diseases? Usually, the Progressives are trying to kill off the elderly...why not this time? Where are the voices calling for population reduction?

North Korea has a despotic dictatorship regime running their lives in their country.
From their perspective the enemy is the rest of the world since they are perfect!!
The point they are making that they don't have coronavirus, is to demonstrate how their perfect leader and his government can prevent even diseases from entering their society. Absolutely no blemishes or sins in their country.
If one of their people turned up at a surgery claiming to have coronavirus he would probably be shot for being a traitor to the cause.
Nobody wants to live in N.Korea, or live under such a despotic regime, so very few would go their. Perhaps that is keeping them corona-free?
Quote from article:- ""Experts have said the North is particularly vulnerable to the virus because of its weak medical system, and defectors have accused Pyongyang of covering up an outbreak.""
When they admit the truth lets hope someone can help them.
Sadly from a political governmental role, North Korea is still under a Tyrannical ruling of murdering dictators.
As their is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Alone. O’ how precious that truth is, especially for one who is experiencing trying & difficult circumstances one may be facing. As many brethren in North Korea, know first hand! As the North Koeren Murdering Dictators, can try to surepess the truth all they want to, with their own max efforts. But at the end of the day, O’ how utterly hopeless, that’s for one. As 10 out 10 will die, & will have to take an account for their own lives; Heb 9:27! As their is no King but Christ Alone amen!
Isa 44:6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, & his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First & I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

A million is about as many as actually die of Malaria each year. But that is them, not us I suppose. Consider also the vast majority of covid 19 cases will recover, not die.

Anton, I couldn't agree more.
Proverbs 3:5-7 KJV (5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
If individual Christians, which make up every local church, were to obey this passage of scripture, there would be no falling away, no judgment on the church, and all would be well.
But man is so wise; man thinks his own understanding is brilliant; the heart of man is set on things other than God; man does not acknowledge God in all his ways, and so he does not have his steps directed by God; man no longer fears the Lord; man has become largely antinomian and does evil with impunity.
BTW, God has set laws in place which are very consistent. For example, you can trust in God all you want, but if you eat not and drink not, you will shortly die. Facts will always be facts.
John UK you are making assumptions about the death toll. These are based on what “the experts” say, Christians need to trust in the Lord and not put confidence in man. Pro. 3:5-7; Ps. 118:8-9. P.S. There has been many plagues in history, this isn’t anything new. Mat. 24.
