The virus also has impacted Americans’ religious behaviors. More than half of all U.S. adults (55%) say they have prayed for an end to the spread of coronavirus. Large majorities of Americans who pray daily (86%) and of U.S. Christians (73%) have taken to prayer during the outbreak – but so have some who say they seldom or never pray and people who say they do not belong to any religion (15% and 24%, respectively).
Among U.S. adults who said in an earlier survey they attend religious services at least once or twice a month, most (59%) now say they have scaled back their attendance because of the coronavirus – in many cases, presumably because churches and other houses of worship have canceled services. But this does not mean they have disengaged from collective worship entirely: A similar share (57%) reports having watched religious services online or on TV instead of attending in person. Together,...
Have we reached the Tower of Babel phase? Has our technology brought us so far and made us so powerful that we have no need of God? What can man not accomplish with all his gadgets and labs? Hhmm...perhaps COVID 19 is the dispersing phase? Such a little thing, a microscopic germ, to humble us and remind us of what we are, finite and weak. Here today gone tomorrow. And I'm one who is skeptical of the whole thing. Just some thoughts.
-1 Peter 3:12- ( For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil !)
Everything that goes on in this world gives its Creator glory, which is God. God is over EVERYTHING, including the coronavirus . I don’t know how the virus is giving God glory right now, but our job as Christians is to trust God through everything! Maybe this virus is to punish the sins of the pagan world we live in today? Maybe it is to draw us closer to God and strengthen our walk with Him ? Maybe it is for us as Christians AND ambassadors of Christ , to witness to the nations in this time of fear? ( not saying you should disobey the government... Paul stresses over this in Romans 13:1 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities . For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God!”
So that is my biblical opinion on this virus. I just hope that people realize their extreme need for God. I pray that God will strengthen Christians all around the world to trust in Him more than they ever have before!
If the virus is the work of God, then He is punishing mankind.
If God is punishing mankind then mankind cannot plead guilty and ask for relief.
The church has not only diminished in size it has diminished in obedience of doctrine.
The modern 'bible' is severely reduced in size and commitment.
This virus is only a symptom of end times, and life without God.
The 'very' end will be somewhat hotter. 2Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements SHALL MELT WITH FERVENT HEAT, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens BEING ON FIRE shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with FERVENT HEAT?"

Hi sister, and I hope things work out for your son.
And the end times are surely upon us now, as we see signs of the scriptures coming to pass in our generation. I realise Christians have said this in the past, during terrible times, but if we had kept a scrap book of all the world events happening in our day, it would make us sit up and take notice.
May the Lord continue to bless your heart, Dolores.

There is a difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow. Much of the world will only have a worldly sorrow, with no repentance. God will keep striking, but men will still be stubborn and keep refusing him. It is in their nature.
