Donald Trump stops to pray for 'the sick' with 700 pastors
President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have joined a prayer meeting with a group of 700 pastors as they look to lead the United States through the Coronavirus crisis. They asked the huge group of Christian leaders to "pray for the strength of the United States" and "for those who are sick".
The Trump administration is currently working on numerous fronts to tackle the Coronavirus outbreak engulfing not just America, but much of the world.
The president and his team are working with scientists and advisors to coordinate the healthcare response to slow the spread of the Covid-19 disease, and at the same time formulating an economic response to try and help businesses and millions of workers whose incomes have been hit hard. However, despite being busier than ever, Trump has ensured that he has taken time out to pray....

Proverbs 21:13
Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard.
O’ Lord bring humility into our lives, of how frail we truly are & what a daily need & suffiency we have need of. That’s is only in & through Your life changing mercies, that one doesn’t live off bread alone amen!
Spurgeon; We aren’t responsible to God for the soul that are saved, but we are responsible for the Gospel that is preached, & for the way in which we preach it.”
Spurgeon; I would go to the deeps a hundred times to cheer a downcast spirit. It’s good for me to have been afflicted, that I might know how to speak a word in season to one that is weary.”
The problem with ones conversion is not, that a layman or pastor has presented the gospel to anyone in authority with a open heart. It is whether a person is heeded the calls and thus is convicted of their sin that leads to salvation. It is very doubtful that any Pharisee understood any word spoken by Jesus, unless they’re conscious was disturbed. Yelling at Trump won’t save him any more than yelling on the street corner,” you say you’re a good man, so now, who decided what was good “. Preach the gospel, but please don’t be so concerned about your results, it ain’t up to us, whether we get the glory, but do it in love of the person, rather than your assumption, that sinners deserve hell, so yelling works real good.
hey-yo, and McDonald, very interesting comments. I seriously doubt there are very many Mormons in that group, Trump is not their favorite President.
Dr. Rugh did a good job of looking at at ecumenicalism in this paper:
Dr. Rugh wrote: .... There is, however, great danger when the church compromises essential doctrines to unite on social, moral, and political issues. Those involved in ecumenism often quote Jesus' prayer in John 17:21, where He prayed, "that they (Christians) may all be one" to show that believers should be unified. Certainly, believers should earnestly desire the unity Jesus referred to. However, in that same prayer, Jesus prayed, "Sanctify them in the truth; Thy word is truth" (John 17:17). True unity must be based on the truth of Scripture or else it is a false unity. The Bible nowhere calls for unity at the expense of truth....

You are right. They do not rebuke the president or preach to him. He has claimed to never have repented and believes he does not need repentance.
Paul preached to Felix and to the governors in shackles every chance he had. These so called pastors pray with him as he is a brother and are ashamed of Jesus to even preach or rebuke him.
The ministers are called out to serve the Lord not cater to the whims of politicians. Jesus did not entertain Herod or Pilot. We will not entertain Obama or Trump or Clinton. I will only serve my God and I will bow before no man.
And that makes then at least 700: prophets of Baal, Mammon-ites in training who are willing to compromise, or simply fools who should not lead as pastors.
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
