President Trump hopes America can get back to ‘packed churches’ by Easter Sunday
President Trump isn’t sure if he’ll meet the deadline but he’s hoping America can open for business as usual and get back to having “pack churches” again by Easter Sunday.

In an interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer on Tuesday, the president said while he has enjoyed attending church online amid the coronavirus pandemic, his administration is working toward a very optimistic deadline so people can start fellowshipping physically again.

"Look: Easter's a very special day for me. And I see it sort of in that timeline that I'm thinking about. And I say, 'Wouldn't it be great to have all the churches full?,'" he said, noting how church services have been restricted by social distancing orders. ...

What I heard on Trump's news conference today, distancing guidelines will be extended through the end of April. No crowded churches this Easter❗😷

Mike, I probably and I hopefully did that to point out that Boris Johnson didn't believe in social distancing, but supported herd immunity, which the Australian article pointed out, he has a reverse course on. But, no, other things should have been done besides just social distancing❗ Leadership in this country was especially slow in the recognizing the danger of a pandemic.

Jim, Nero Wolfe gets out more than you do. We all know you stay barricaded in your parents’ basement, coronavirus or no coronavirus, with fifty cases of Cheetos, a keg of Mountain Dew and a stockpile of Charmin. But at least you get your exercise, what with finger aerobics on Google.

An excellent article from Australia, why you aren't going to be sitting arm to arm in the church on Easter and it looked at some other problems besides --It is a lengthy but good article.

If you truly hope she's wrong, quit cheering when death is promoted. Quit frowning when someone you disapprove of self-quarantines.

by the way, in NYS, we have to minimize any contact, most businesses are closed, older folks have to stay home, allowed outdoors as long as alone, but flights out of New York City, the Covid-19 center, continue. Brilliant, isn't it? A Democrat's dream- control the little people's ordinary lives as much as possible, but spread the bad stuff around the country. Our governor Cuomo is considered to be showing leadership. What a joke it all is. The frog is in the warming water, but desperate politics as usual is more real concern than health.

Spurgeon; We have all things and abound; not because I have a good store of money in the bank, not because I have skill and wit with which to win my bread, but because the Lord is my shepherd.”

Rather than being so critical of our president and judging his motives as some do, we need to thank the Lord that we have a president who is so openly supportive of churches! I know that none of us would endorse everything that he does, but surely we can be thankful for the right things that he does.

""President Trump isn’t sure if he’ll meet the deadline but he’s hoping America can open for business as usual and get back to having “pack churches” again by Easter Sunday.""

Now that's an optimistic wish list!!

Nothing anybody can do about the coronavirus effect on humanity. At present anyway.

Optimism in leadership is one way of trying to stay on top of this ghastly virus and its consequences.
New political idealism???

Joy in suffering....
James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing."

Rom 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly."

Maintain the 'patience' Christians.👍

Thank You O’ Lord to get Your people to decrease so You can bring in the increase amen!

Amen; Jim Eliff; We have the mistaken notion that evangelism is a choreographed set of ideas well laid out, perfectly transitioned & flawlessly presented. Forget it. It’s not this way. Many of us have tried this with frustration. It’s much better to think of evangelism the way the Bible does – “sowing the seed” in any way you can. Any of us can do that. Ever seen a weed grow in an otherwise barren parking lot? Somehow the seed got there and flourished. The simple word in the right place, or the tract well-placed might be the means God uses. Well-oiled presentations frustrate because there is no room for serious questions and discussion on the one hand, & it rules out the less verbal among us, on the other. Rejoice over even the smallest of advances! You are sowing the seed.

Easter is a pagan holiday. The date is off from the true resurrection. but Pastors only care because that when the churches are full and they can get more people.

A pastor has to take care of his flock. No one believes that there is danger until after it happens. You think you are safe because you are not New York or California but you are mistaken. Your elderly will vanish if you are not careful.
