US bishop disciplined for maintaining biblical stance on marriage
The US Episcopal Church is disciplining one of its bishops because he upholds the biblical position on sex and marriage.
The Bishop of Albany, William Love, has been accused of violating canon law by showing âunwillingness to abide by Resolution B012â â which stipulates that bishops must permit same-sex weddings to take place in their diocese.
The Resolution introduced in 2018 says that if a bishop disagrees with same-sex marriage and does not wish to participate, they must invite another bishop to do so instead....
""... âunwillingness to abide by Resolution B012â â which stipulates that bishops must permit same-sex weddings to take place in their diocese.""
Which in turn implies that the Word of God MUST NOT have precedent over sin or abomination.
Thus banning repentance of sin. Which is part of the path to salvation.
The Episcopalian church denies salvation and therefore is the voice of the antichrist - Instead of the voice of Christ.
How blind and ignorant can you get??
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness."
I suppose I'm saying that the Episcopal Church USA has been taken over by a bunch of Diotrephes who are trying to keep the Word of God away from their laityâđ It's a pity that this church hasn't completely died out.
Matthew Henry covered the qualities of the bad leadership of the Episcopal Church very well in his commentary given in my first message.
9. I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, doesnât accept what we say. 10. Therefore if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words. Not content with this, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and those who would, he forbids and throws out of the assembly. 11. Beloved, donât imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil hasnât seen God....
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary wrote: 3 John 9: â9-12 Both the heart and mouth must be watched. The temper and spirit of Diotrephes was full of pride and ambition. It is bad not to do good ourselves; but it is worse to hinder those who would do good. Those cautions and counsels are most likely to be accepted, which are seasoned with love. Follow that which is good, for he that doeth good, as delighting therein, is born of God. Evil-workers vainly pretend or boast acquaintance with God. Let us not follow that which is proud, selfish, and of baddesign, though the example may be given by persons of rank and power; but let us be followers of God, and walk in love, after the example of our Lord.
