Trump declares Sunday a National Day of Prayer amid coronavirus crisis
President Trump declared on Friday a National Day of Prayer for this upcoming Sunday, shortly after declaring a state of emergency amid the fast-spreading coronavirus pandemic.
"We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these....," Trump tweeted. "No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!"
The annual National Day of Prayer is scheduled for May 7. Trump's announcement came after he declared a national emergency over the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to partnerships with several large companies to expand testing for the illness....

Are you Jim/Lincoln? Strong family resemblance, if not.
It would have been beneficial for him to ask for prayer when White Nationalists protested in Charlottesville, to promote idealogy, which is a spiritual virus, infect our nation and generations to come.
What did Christians do? How did his spiritual counselor advise him?

Then is should have occurred when the parties were first formed. It is responses like yours that make others not take important issues seriously. It is like making light of sin. It is somewhat like telling the tomb guards that the rising our our Lord was a hoax and someone stole the body. As for divisiveness, a neighbor believes that Trump planned this long ago with our adversaries. He claims that the reason why Trump appears so cavalier is because he's been immunized already. Further, he says Trump wanted people with pre-existing illnesses to be less burdensome to the health insurance companies. How far fetched is this? We Americans had better be more informed about all things pertaining to life and death.
The Coronavirus is certainly taking a toll on older people indirectly as well as directly.
Most nursing homes and hospitals now totally ban visits (I can no longer visit my elderly mother in her 90’s, the last day for unrestricted visiting was yesterday, and this could be in place for months).
Furthermore PM Boris Johnson has decreed that most likely within the next two weeks all people from 70 years of age and older not currently in a nursing home or care facility must go into complete lockdown, self isolation, in their own homes for at least 4 months minimum, even if they are completely healthy, and even if they have not travelled anywhere or have not knowingly been exposed to anyone suspected of the Coronavirus.
Combined with this rather difficult decree, wil be the cancellation of all non- urgent operations that some of these elderly people may be waiting for, and a reduction in care services for these people.
Combined with social isolation,I believe that this could kill as many or even more old people than the Coronavirus itself!! We must pray for those folks. Though an in the elderly bracket, I am a few years short of the 70’s thankfully. I am not too sure our politicians have thought this out well at all..
Zeeshan Aleem wrote: A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll has revealed sharp partisan divides between Americans over the coronavirus pandemic.
The poll found 68 percent of Democrats are worried that someone in their family could catch the virus, while just 40 percent of Republicans and 45 percent of independents share that concern.
The gulf in perception over an outwardly nonpolitical issue underscores how signals from politicians and media outlets have played a critical role in shaping how seriously Americans are taking a viral outbreak that has overwhelmed health care systems and triggered mass quarantines in several countries around the world.
Nearly 80 percent of Democrats believe the worst is yet to come, but just 40 percent of Republicans and 57 percent of independents believe that. Overall, 53 percent of all voters are concerned that someone in their immediate family might contract the coronavirus, and 60 percent believe the worst is yet to come....

You therefore could apply Glen's information to the common cold and flu virus as 1300 died between Nov and March 2019 in my area, but no outcry, panic, or wearing masks. Whilst not wishing to minimize the Coronovirus, it isn't yet any more of a plague than the flu. I may be generalising, but I know no one who knows anyone who has yet been diagnosed in my area, so it isn't the plague. The LORD is in control, so fear thou not and be not afraid. The most deadly virus is SIN. There should be a national panic amongst sinners that without Christ they are dying with no other remedy. Maybe we should rather use the day of prayer to also pray that some might be awakened to see the real consequences of their own spiritual death?
A good reminder of how preachers saw things in the past when Christians today speak of natural disasters ... https://youtu.be/HIMGqXHVEFA
For those of us who believe that God is in control of all things, consider the advice given to the disciples to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves, Matthew 10:16
Consider the recommendations given to the early Hebrew people for dealing with an infectious disease they could SEE, and easily identify. Leviticus 13:46 All the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he is unclean: he shall dwell alone; without the camp shall his habitation be.
We today are faced with one that is contagious for DAYS before the host has any idea they are unwell, in fact, many will carry this, and spread it, and suffer very little ill effects themselves.
We need to help protect the most vulnerable in our families, and society, taking every possible precaution.
I hope I am wrong, but I fear that anyone encouraging people of any age to meet together, and then go back to their families, is incredibly naive, and they are gambling with peoples lives. I fear that even with stringent self isolation, and extreme care, it will still be difficult to escape. Especially for our elderly, people in positions of authority should send a strong message of the importance of social distancing.
The pandemic of IFs (irrational fears) need to be quarantined by truth. It is amazing at how many newly created medical degrees we have generated over the last week due to the misleading of our media who live to create the narrative and not report it.
Just for example.
A grocery store decided to start closing at 8pm until further notice. The headline that came from that nugget was "Grocery store closing down".
No accountability, redaction or Ownership of a blatant disregard for truth.

John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Colossians 3:2 - Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
This virus according US army viral experts was not a surprise when it broke out in December in Wuhan, China. Chinese Doctors that spoke out were removed from their positions. 40 industrialized Incinerators were brought into the city , supposedly to take care of animal carcasses. The Chinese owned press machine scrubbed the name Wuhan to corona to covid19. Yahoo news, CNN, Bloomberg and Google have all talked how successful China has been in treating this “ unknown “ virus. I’ve heard loud folks say at church, this virus has been around for a long time. And I added, till it was made a bio weapon. When Yuri Andropov wanted to rid the world of a meddling priest in Rome, some people tried to do something to John Paul the second. I think China originally wanted to do something to a meddlesome Nation for a future war. But things got out of hand God be with us all, a pray for His mercy quickly.
Yep, more virulent. I noticed that, as of this morning, there were 13 confirmed cases in Neb.; in N.C. its 23. I understand that the University Medical Center at the Univ. of Nebraska is playing a key role in clinical trials. Great! Be safe, Jim.
