Trump admin. creates new advisory board to expose research using aborted baby body parts
A new ethics board has been formed to investigate the use of fetal body parts procured from abortions, the Trump administration announced this week.
The National Institutes of Health Human Fetal Tissue Research Ethics Advisory Board has been established and is comprised of 15 non-government employees that include attorneys, theologians, doctors, scientists, and ethicists, LifeNews reported Wednesday. The board is being overseen by Health and Human Services Department Secretary Alex Azar.
"The ethics board is tasked with researching the use of aborted baby body parts in scientific research and determining whether it is ethical. The board will create a final report to recommend whether HHS should stop funding such research," the outlet reported....

This should serve as a reminder to church going folk who do not like to get involved in politics. If you know any of them, ask them if this would have happened if Dems kept control of the US Senate, and if Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 election.

You can be so amusing at times, Jim. You post someone's imaginative account of pro-life States having a higher infant mortality rate, and miss the greater point not written. What it means is infant mortality by abortion isn't counted. If it were, it would be MUCH higher in pro-death States. But let's continue to pretend it's somehow compassionate to kill the preborn. Let's pretend concern over church-affiliated child care centers not being sufficiently safety inspected, and forget about the killing of the child outright, authorized by those who hire the inspectors. You aren't fooling anyone, but like I said, you can be amusing.

Improve maternal healthcare In a totally not shocking turn of events, it seems that the most ‚Äúpro-life‚ÄĚ US states have some of the worst rates of maternal and infant mortality in the country. Maternal mortality across the US, especially among black women, is higher than in any other wealthy country, and Alabama has the fourth highest infant mortality rate in the country. It is also one of the very few states that allows church-affiliated childcare centres to be exempt from safety inspections, which has led to injuries and even deaths. And what have local politicians done about this? Diddly squat. Instead, as one local paper put it last year, they concentrate on ‚Äúfringe issues and oddball causes that don‚Äôt improve Alabamians‚Äô lives and health‚ÄĚ. Doesn‚Äôt sound very pro-life, does it?...

Wayfarer, not much at all in 1950, so your brave sweet mother with God helping, you survived. Wonderful testimony of a different type woman and a baby that grew up to be a Christian man doing God’s work.
Dr. Harder did not take the position that Randall Balmer did that the main motivation of evangelicals was racist, q.v.,

What I've been seeing over the years, Mr. Balmer is right rather than Mr. Harder on this issue of Roe v Wade. The lack of support for Obamacare even with restrictions, by Evangelicals means that abortion is really a secondary issue to them.

My mother had a fight with my father during the Eisenhower administration . The result were that my father kicked open the door of his F100 (1948) , and out bounced my mother. She walked to the hospital in the snow, and I was born 2 months early. Do ya’ll have any idea the odds of a baby born early, with a medical condition to survive in the 1950’s? The catholic hospital did last rites and that was supposed to be it. But God gave the will to a mother who said- not today.
Jim; The Size of a Fetus or the Level of development, or Environment, or Degree of dependency. Doesn’t take away that a small Fetus is life from conception. As someone else pleaded with you on here, that God would call you & lead you to life changing, heart felt, Godly repentance in & through Christ Alone amen!
Job 10:12 You gave me life & showed me kindness, & in your providence watched over my spirit.
PS 100:3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Job 31:15 Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?
Jim; What‚Äôs the difference between a human being & a human person?‚ÄĚ

True, Frank. I think the answer to my question to Jim is either yes or no, but instead as usual posts someone else's opinions such as-
"But this is surely a concern that the Jewish community cannot share, since we have no concept of original sin. We recite daily in our prayers words that come directly from the : ‚ÄúMy God, the soul with which thou hast endowed me is pure.‚ÄĚ We inherit a pure soul, which becomes contaminated only by our own misdeeds. Thus, early abortion would send a fetus to heaven in a state of pristine purity...."
Though Jim might believe this rubbish, he won't explain how it is that a "fetus" goes to heaven if it is not human. Why would it? Maybe he'll post yet someone else's opinion about it.
I would like to apologize for my earlier rudeness directed towards Jim..it’s easy to let passion and anger take over in a moment.
However I can see that from the first comment to the last comment, You Jim, start with president trump and end with him...despite the fact that everyone was trying to prick your Conscious with regard to the abortion issue, you in true political fashion managed to stick to your way of thinking and totally block everyone else out...
I am Not American I am Scottish...I am not a democrat or republican..most people in Ireland, Scotland, Europe do not like president trump..our media does not like him and neither do our politicians... I personally do lot like everything he says ...I do not like the way he does things at times...it is doubtful that he is a true Christian...he could be accused of running with the foxes and the hounds...
However.. he is placed there by God...He is fighting for conservative Christian values...disregarding what he had done in the past or his hypocrisy.,,God is using Him...yes..God is interested in the biggest most powerful nation on the face of the earth...and He takes the foolish things of this world (even if they themselves don’t understand) to shame the wise...so pray for your president as he sure is up against it...
Jim, I have a question for you. If you died tonight, and I pray that doesn’t happen, but if you die where would you spent eternity? I am not trying to be snarky or unkind to you at all. I can see you are very passionate on certain beliefs you have, so I’m coming to you with a passionate plea from my heart that I have on your soul. Jim have you died to yourself, repented of all your sin, and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord, Savior, and God? Jim the Bible says in Matthew 7 that many will come in God’s name and the Lord will say I never new you depart from me you that work iniquity! 2 Peter 1:10 says to make your calling and election sure.
Jim I am pleading with you if you have never humbled yourself in God’s sight, turned from your sins and put your faith and trust in Jesus that you are headed for a eternal lifetime of torment and anguish. I can argue all day with you on pro-life vs pro-choice and any political issues there are, but Jim I would be wasting my time to pherhaps convince you that life begins at conception if you later agree but end up dying and going to hell. This is so serious Jim your life depends on it!
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I would have to look back for the article I believe from The Washington Post that pointed out that, under the Fourteenth Amendment know they fetus is not human. On top of that it's a moral issue and not a government one as many groups would say, especially Jewish ones.
It is not a Christians business in other words. By the way the URL for my second article from political should have been:
Gabby Orr wrote: ....Three years into his presidency, the once-unapologetic womanizer has not only earned the trust of the anti-abortion community, he’s irrevocably changed its standards for future Republican leaders.
In the post-Trump era, declaring oneself ‚Äúpro-life‚ÄĚ will no longer suffice. Wannabe presidents and GOP congressional candidates must now prove it....
excerpt from, "Trump sets a new GOP standard in the abortion fight"
The above article would be considered an almost saccharin piece about Trump, the anti-abortionists seems to be only a one issue group, and one that focuses on using the stick rather than the carrot and stopping abortions, they should love the above article from Politico.
I would also add another however which I think exposes Trump's true motives anyway--- and should be government's concern‚ĚóūüĎé

David Feldman wrote: .... Accordingly, it should be said that when Catholics reputedly decide to ‚Äúlet the mother die‚ÄĚ rather than allow an abortion, they are not being cruel; rather, they are being logically consistent. The mother was presumably baptized as an infant; she can die and ‚Äúgo to her reward.‚ÄĚ But the child must be brought to term and baptized to save it from perdition. So sincere is this concern that theologians at the Sorbonne in the nineteenth century invented a baptismal syringe, wherewith to baptize a fetus in utero in the event of a spontaneous abortion, a miscarriage.
But this is surely a concern that the Jewish community cannot share, since we have no concept of original sin. We recite daily in our prayers words that come directly from the : ‚ÄúMy God, the soul with which thou hast endowed me is pure.‚ÄĚ We inherit a pure soul, which becomes contaminated only by our own misdeeds.
