New Disney Channel cartoon branded 'evil,' 'demonic' by One Million Moms
The conservative Christian watchdog group One Million Moms is warning parents that “The Owl House” — Disney Television Animation’s new fantasy-comedy cartoon series — is portraying witchcraft in a positive light.

Over 16,000 people have signed on to support a new One Million Moms petition calling on Disney Channel to cancel “The Owl House,” which premiered in January.

The series is based on a teenage girl named Luz who stumbles on a portal to a demon realm and battles the forces of evil. Luz eventually befriends a witch named Eda and a tiny warrior named King. ...

I don't think you will be disappointed, Dolores. But they do tend to be addictive. After the first, you will be looking in the library for the second, and so on.

Very good books indeed, John. One of my daughter's favorite series, btw.
Thanks Mike for sharing that; it's not often I recommend a novel, but there is something quite special about the Ellis Peters books. And I think it is good for the mind to be drawn away into fictional land, to give it a break from daily life.

Thanks for sharing that, Dolores. IMHO the best secular novels with any chance of playing a part in growth in holiness are those by Ellis Peters (real name Edith Pargeter), who wrote a large series about a former soldier who turned monk and ended up at Shrewsbury Abbey, and became not only a herb-healer (12th century doctor) but because he was one the brothers who was allowed out of the abbey confines, he was able also to do some sleuthing as a side line. So that he tended the sick and brought criminals to justice. His name (he was Welsh) was Brother Cadfael, and the writing is never offensive, and of a very high standard.

Thanks John and I do have a channel that has older movies and mostly black and white and they are refreshing to watch ever so often. I like a good mystery and have watched Perot and a few other favorites like Midsummer Murders on the British network BBC mostly I read and you have to be careful of books now. I get mine out of the Church Library mostly. Seems like filth has been poured out on the world today. The only station I can watch movies is Turner Classic Movies.

John Uk, of course I was speaking of the older movies and the old western movies is all he’ll watch. Even the sitcoms are not what they used to be. There is a Freeview channel here in the UK Dolores, channel 81, which shows the old programs from the 40's and 50's, sometimes into the 60's. A lot of films, in black and white, often with a higher moral content than today's offerings. It is called Talking Pictures TV, and safer to watch than modern programs. But, as you say, there are better things to do with one's time.

Hollywood, theater, movies, drama's actors, actresses...... and Disney.

This 'industry' is ALL as demonic as witches.

Liberalism, feminism, adultery, lust, sodomism, transism and all forms of modern corruption are supported and portrayed by them as acceptable. They are part of Satan's club.
All now to be found on mobile phones!!

The church in previous centuries used to reject the theater and all its fictions and taught the congregation not to go there.

Quote:-
"Young men, time would fail me if I were to tell you all the fruits this love of pleasure produces, and all the ways in which it may do you harm. Why should I speak of revelling, feasting, drinking, gambling, THEATRE going, dancing, and the like? Few are to be found who do not know something of these things by bitter experience. And these are only instances. All things that give a feeling of excitement for the time,—all things that drown thought, and keep the mind in a constant whirl,—all things that please the senses and gratify the flesh;—these are the sort of things that have mighty power at your time of life, and they owe their power to the love of pleasure. Be on your guard. Be not like those of whom Paul speaks, “Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God” (2 Tim. 3:4)." (J C Ryle).

In fact, most movies that are produced lately aren't worth watching, and sodomy and sodomy themes seem to be a part of their main productions now and not just Disney, but all movies and TV shows that are produced and released. Thank GOD for SermonAudio and its millions of sermons to watch/listen to. Between sermons and listening to or reading my Bible, I am content and don't need or want to listen to, or watch any of the profane, evil, disgusting, but popular ungodliness that constantly inundates the media. People need to keep closer watch on what their children are being exposed to. Too much filth!

People say: What’s wrong with a little witchcraft? It’s not real anyway. It won’t hurt anyone.

Truth says: Everything is wrong with a little witchcraft! It is real and it will hurt you!

“And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger.”
‭‭II Kings‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Amen Dolores. And if you were to scrutinize the 1%, you would even find those encouraging sin, in some small measure. There is very little in this world which encourages righteousness, which involves denying self, taking up a cross and following Jesus.

Disney always likes to portray itself as good for children. But at the back of unregenerate film makers is the devil himself.
