The Gospel of Socialism? Pope Francis Decries Tax Cuts for the Wealthy as Sinful
In an address to the New Forms of Solidarity Seminar on Wednesday, Pope Francis made a call for worldwide wealth redistribution in order solve the problem of global poverty. The Pope referred to tax cuts for the wealthy as a “structure of sin.” The speech was organized by the Pontifical Academy for Social Sciences.

In what sounded more like a document written by the United Nations than a Papal address, the Pope tore into the economic systems of the world and what he called “tax havens.” He declared that such monies need to be used to assist those in extreme poverty, whom the Pontiff claims are increasing.

“The world is rich and yet the poor increase around us,” the Pope said. “Hundreds of millions of people are still mired in extreme poverty and lack food, housing, medical care, schools, electricity, drinking water and adequate and essential sanitation services.” ...

Pope Francis referred to tax cuts for the wealthy as a “structure of sin.”

“The Pope, the Vicar of Christ, is the Man of Sin. He has invented sin, he has taught sin, he has enticed sin, established iniquity by a law, he trades in sins and has grown rich through the sins of Christendom. Sin is the Pope’s work. Sin is the Pope’s being. Popery is the incarnation of sin …” (Dr. Ian R. K. Paisley)

""In what sounded more like a document written by the United Nations than a Papal address, the Pope tore into the economic systems of the world""

The Papal antichrist (a 'good' socialist) speaks again to the gullible.

"The Roman Catholic Church is almost certainly the wealthiest organization in the world. In the United States alone, it is estimated that the Catholic Church has an operating budget of $170 billion. By comparison, in fiscal year 2012, Apple and General Motors each had about $150 billion in revenue worldwide. No one outside the Vatican knows for sure how much money the church has, because—unlike every other category of tax-exempt “nonprofit” organizations—religious organizations in the United States are not required to submit basic financial reporting to the IRS. From Vatican City (the Catholic Church’s own country) to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, the Church owns some of the most extraordinary art and architecture the world has ever known. It operates a vast and lucrative network of schools, universities, and hospitals whose Medicare and Medicaid patients are bankrolled by American taxpayers, yet it is listed as a nonprofit organization." Yet another sucker who thinks that punishing rich people will solve the world's problems...

In reality, this is covetousness at it's most basic form. A sin mankind has struggled with since Eve ate the forbidden fruit...

Stealing from others because they have more than you is never justified. Many in poor countries consider the poorest in America rich, and would love to steal from the them...

Being rich is only based of off what others have in comparison to you, and to come to that conclusion, you have to covet other people's things...

When Jesus walked the earth, Israel was a subject nation of Rome because they had rejected their God and chose rather to have a heathen king to rule over them. They paid oppressive taxes to Caesar but the money didn't go to their welfare but rather to provide amenities to the citizens of Rome and to increase the corruption and debauchery of the ruling class while depriving the God fearing remnant the opportunity to give with a joyful heart. And of course the Christ rejecting Jews were in full agreement with the arrangement.

His popeyness is leaning on world governments to do the same thing. While his words are couched in feigned compassion for the poor and oppressed the end result will be total domination and oppression with all strings leading back to Rome. Such are the ambitions of the enemies of God, including our very own Democrats.

The socialists are worried about having everything be “fair” (for everyone else, of course; they don’t want to sacrifice their own riches). An income tax of 37 percent is fair—and so is an income tax of ninety percent, or one percent—AS LONG AS EVERYONE PAYS THE SAME PERCENTAGE! So if Donald Trump makes a billion a year and pays ten percent, and Jim Lincoln makes fourteen dollars and seven cents and pays ten percent, both Donald and Jim are paying their fair share. And chances are they’ll become best buds and go golfing together.

My friends, please study history closely to find out exactly why there are some nations like America that are more wealthy than Malawi for example. The average income is so different it’s almost unbelievable. What about standard of living? Worlds apart. Yes, Pope, there are hundreds of millions of people living without electricity, running water, etc. in 2020. But why? What are the reasons it’s so different? Are we just more lucky? No. Does a godly heritage have anything to do with it? Capitalism? Expanding-pie mentality? Honestly and integrity in business instead of corruption and scandals? Generations of diligence? Inheritances? Where did those inherentances come from? How did some people learn wise use of money and other didn’t? Does God’s blessing play a role as in the life of Abraham or Job? All good questions.

Also, sometimes an individual or society will gain financial stability at the expense of other important things. Proverbs speaks plainly to this issue of setting your heart on riches. Or what about all the unborn babies who are being torn apart, vaccumed, or injected with salt water? That doesn’t sound like a very good standard of living! Has it possibly become America’s favorite standard of dying? So, let’s look at the whole picture and not just the dollar signs.

He's the rich guy who condemns other rich guys, but keeps his Vatican money in the Vatican. He's also the guy who hates walls being built to keep lawbreakers out, yet has a wall around his big house. Who does he think he is, Nancy Pelosi?

Francis is probably a Sanders and Warren lover. By the numbers, a single person making over $510,300 pays 37% in taxes. In 2017, before the Trump tax cuts, their rate was 39.6%. If he calls 2.6% tax cuts "sinful" then he must really damn the "Person" who required the 10% tithes on the nation of Israel. There, even the poor paid tithes while here in America if you're single you pay nothing if you make up to $9,700 or up to $19,400 if you're married filing jointly. As a matter of fact, chances are is that they will get a "refund" on top of paying nothing.

The bottom line, as Rnel stated in his comment, Francis and the Vatican should be the first to give back what THEY have taken the people. Or even better, stop having people giving money for confessing their sins (which brings new meaning to "the wages of sin").

He’s a Jesuit , and most were either communists or members of a national socialist party. Actually, there were more hiding nazi’s in Argentinia than anyplace in the world after WW2. Pope Francis aims to “ modernize “ the Catholic Church. Embracing same sex marriage, global warming, allowing priests to marry and divorce anyone with a pulse, etc. Don’t cast aside the Geneva Bible, just redo the translation for the NKJV and look at the marginal notes on the pope. Not far off.
