Fox won't show abortion survivors' Super Bowl ad but OKs drag queen commercial
Fox Sports is being accused of censoring a 30-second commercial for Super Bowl LIV that features survivors of abortion while at the same time planning to air a commercial featuring two drag queens.
Over 36,800 people have signed onto a petition sponsored by the evangelical grassroots organization My Faith Votes calling on Fox to include a pro-life advertisement in what is sure to be a packed Super Bowl lineup on Sunday.
In a separate petition launched by the activist group One Million Moms, about 20,300 are calling on Fox to remove a commercial featuring drag queens known from their time on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”...
For Philip's enlightenment, I have heard of some churches in the US who had a special service built around the Super Bowl. I think they promoted it as saying, Look, we are providing a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment for watching the game. Another question is..why do people watching a game on TV need to eat huge amounts of potato chips, pretzels, nachos, and chili while drinking bottles of beer? It reminds me of what preacher Chuck Swindoll said about football: 22 men in desperate need of rest being watched by 55,000 people in desperate need of exercise! Also, it would be a good news item for here at SA to find out how many churches still have a Sunday evening service. My wild guess would be less than ten percent.
Possum bacon? JAG, I do believe you and BDF have learned to eat every part of a possum but the grin. By the way, our church had a men’s prayer breakfast the other day and the cook, a redeemed Yankee ( yes, there actually are a few saved Northerners), said “Hominy grits?” I replied, “However miny you can get on my plate.”
Yes, the road to salvation is narrow and few be that find it. This world temporarily belongs to satan and is getting more antagonistic towards the true gospel and against righteous living. One day the Lord will return and put things right!
Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (note: IMO rhetorical question)
2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
The fact that there is a game played is almost..besides the point! The popularity of it, even some asking for the Monday after to be declared a National Holiday, makes the point that the NFL is the most popular TV sport, miles ahead of all others. I saw a series of charts showing this: First one did not have the NFL, so the NBA, college football, hockey, professional bocce, all close together. Then when the NFL was added, the scales had to be changed to even include all other sports, which showed up way below the NFL line.
