At least five people have been stabbed in an attack at a synagogue in New York’s Rockland County. That attacker is now reportedly in custody after fleeing the scene.
CBS2’s Tony Aiello has confirmed a man entered Rabbi Rottenburg’s synagogue on Forshay Road in Monsey and stabbed several people just before 10 p.m. Saturday.
The suspect has been identified as 37-year-old Grafton Thomas, of Greenwood Lake, New York, in Orange County.
Thomas, covering his face with a scarf, reportedly entered the building and pulled out a machete to attack the victims during a Chanukah celebration. Thomas reportedly chased after and stabbed victims as they fled the synagogue before running off and escaping in a gray Nissan Sentra....

I see they are already making excuses for him, the attacker.
The Jews are a special people to God‚Ěó
Romans 2:28-3:4 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God. Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God. For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God? May it never be! Yes, let God be found true, but every man a liar. As it is written, ‚Äúthat you might be justified in your words, and might prevail when you come into judgment.‚ÄĚ
It is curious that anti-semitism is on the rise again. Question is why?
Over centuries the Jews have been subjected to pogroms, holocausts and hostilities. Why ???
After the events of WWII you might expect the western nations to strongly refrain from any attack on the Jewish people. Yet here we are again.
Is this a message from Satan and his dark forces?
Usually the anti-semite is one of the local morons who has an attitude of hostility and arrogance anyway. But why would he of little brain cell, take this attitude towards the people of Israel? They tell us it is a form of racism? But over many centuries and persistent? and consistent?
I just reread my post, and wanted to add this. There is no race on earth… No creed on earth… That is great and perfect. There are individuals that are horrible in every group. My point was to stand against an idea that one “race“ is better than any other… Because that was what I felt the allusion was. But after reading my former comment, I’m not sure if everyone would get that out of there… Hence this. I need more caffeine in my life.
Joel; not trying to be mean or rude, (it comes naturally, I do not have to try,) but your romanticization of Jews is problematic. I am not an anti-Semite‚Ķ far from it‚ÄĒBut trust me, there are jerks in every walk of life. There are people who ‚Äúsuck the system dry‚Äú in every race and creed on the earth. To make a blanket statement like you did is a little shortsighted and is one of the things that causes that type of anti-Semitic reaction from others. Before anybody complains, there‚Äôs good people from all walks of life as well‚ÄĒ but we are all fallen and in need of grace‚Ķ Including the Jews
Anti-semitism is on the rise. Increasingly, the slaughter of Jewish people while they are worshiping in their synagogues. These acts are becoming an ugly, almost daily occurrence. There is just too much hatred in the entire world; and a sad sign of the end-times in which we now live.
What is it about the Jews that people don‚Äôt like? Why do people hate their guts? They are God‚Äôs special people‚ÄĒHis chosen people. They are the natural offspring of Abraham that God promised. They are not a burden to society or a hindrance to commerce. They mind their own business and are very industrious.
Seth J. Frantzman wrote: The attack on a Rabbi in Monsey north of New York City on Saturday evening has left the Jewish community shaken. It follows at least eight other attacks in New York since the shooting attack on a kosher supermarket in early December. There have been near daily attacks in New York City this year, a kind of slow-moving pogrom against Jews, particularly targeting ultra-Orthodox Jews.... .... The Jersey City murders are the culmination of years of incitement against Jews. But the perpetrators in that case were themselves minorities from the African American community. The perpetrators have been identified as coming from an extremist religious group called Black Hebrew Israelites, making them a minority of a minority. The perpetrators are seen as a ‚Äúmilitant‚ÄĚ fringe within that minority.
The authorities are now looking at the case as domestic terrorism fueled by antisemitism. However major media have endeavored to dismiss the murders as unimportant and unique....
