Evangelical Leaders Close Ranks With Trump After Scathing Editorial
But when Christianity Today called for President Trump’s removal in a blistering editorial on Thursday, it met the full force and fury of the president and his most prominent allies in the Christian conservative world. If the response seemed disproportionate, it vividly reflected the fact that white evangelicals are the cornerstone of Mr. Trump’s political base and their leaders are among his most visible and influential supporters.

In the background, however, is a more nuanced reality that Christianity Today’s editorial hints at: a number of conservative Christians remain deeply uncomfortable with an alliance with the president. ...

Eternal life is not a thing of Republican or Democrat, it’s a thing of a filthy sinner crying out to the Holy God for mercy and forgiveness! Our God is a consuming fire! Jesus took that punishment instead of us! Anyone who repents and puts their trust in Jesus Christ will be given free, eternal life! And those who truly love God will want to please Him with their lives. Like Quiet Christian said, “right” and “wrong” are not things we came up with. And when believers love, obey, and serve our Savior, we want to do it God’s way, in His timing, and for His glory! Because He is the one who (uninvited, unexpected, and unwanted) picked us out, reached down into our messed up world and rescued us from our own perverse confusion and brazen rebellion. He gave life to the dead. It’s His plan, His program, His agenda—it’s His! And therefore He gets all the glory!
Ah, it is lovely gospel wording. And it makes good reading. Thank you, and may the Lord bless you in wonderful ways in these dark apostate days. There is great need of perseverance in truth and practice.

Humanists are playing god today and attempting to re-write the rules. It will not work! It never works! Look at history, Jim, look at all the people groups, nations, and individuals who forsook God and His truth and tried to live life their way! They are currently in the terrors of hell fire! God is not going to get off of His throne! He is not going to wink at sin! He is not going to amend His constitution! He never has and He never will!

Murder is always murder, Jim. Period. I don’t care if you are socialist, communist, dominionist, Marxist, or Buddhist, or far right-wing conservative Reformist-Baptist! Killing an innocent living human is murder. What murderous leader has God ever explicitly condoned or supported in the Scriptures? God doesn’t change. Why would you suspect that God is standing behind a wicked leader today? I’m not saying that Mr. Trump is righteous(He is a sinner), and I’m not saying anyone should vote for him. (Besides, many so-called evangelicals ARE sycophants and dead in their sins because they do not know Christ.) I am just asking the question, when did sin stop being sin? When did hell stop being hell? When did righteousness slide over and become wickedness, Jim? Ok, so it’s just a matter of how you interpret the Scriptures, right? Wrong. Where was God when He decided that a LGBTQIAXYZ lifestyle was OK with Him? Was that before or after He poured out fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah and wiped it off the face of the earth?

Thanks, Frank. No one may listen, and as sad as it seems, at least their blood is not on our hands (Ezekiel 33).

Jim, you know well what those socialist elites stand for, no matter how they got their riches.
I would also suggest that your false flag calls of "Dominionism" if anyone suggests a Biblical underpinning to a law, ordinance, or regulation is simply hogwash. "Right" and "wrong" come from somewhere, Jim, and it's not a compilation or societial group think exercise. Psalm 100 says that we are not our own makers, but the sheep of the One who did make us. We must look to the Lord alone for salvation & direction in this life.
Very well said QC! If a conservative politically says abortion is wrong and a liberal politically says it is a woman’s right, Jim would say the conservative was guilty of activism or dominionism. But, both sides have stated a moral opinion. I can assure everyone that if they listen carefully, they will note the liberal agenda is much more stated by politicians, than the conservative agenda.

Until I die, I will and must speak out against everything our heavenly Father has deemed sinful.

Jim, you have never presented one logical, empirical, practical or theological reason for universal healthcare, for the simple reason that there are none. If you would stop lying and state your REAL reason for supporting it—for instance, that you personally would to have better insurance coverage for your own needs—perhaps you would get more respect.

Bloomberg a socialist, QC
I believe he's the eighth richest man in the world, how he got his billions is well-documented and not kept a secret like some Republicans I can mention.

I don't believe he has any Financial interests in Turkey or Russia as the above Republican does.

The stance on abortion is absolutely meaningless without the support Universal Health Care❗

I would also suggest no matter how right your or our moral positions are, we are not the force them on others who vigorously oppose them.

John 18:36-37
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world. Then Pilate said to him, So you are a king? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. ---ESV

The point of the article I posted, Jim, is that there are no Democratic candidates who stand as pro-life and anti-socialism.

Quiet Christian, you have every right to choose who you like for the presidency. Bloomberg and Biden comes to mind as far as Democrats. Weld is even better than the present Republican incumbent.

As far as these so-called leaders of evangelicals are concerned Webster's 1913 dictionary had a good description of them❗👎

"Syncophant
2. A base parasite; a mean or servile flatterer; especially, a flatterer of princes and great men. A sycophant will everything admire: Each verse, each sentence, sets his soul on fire. Dryden."

No doubt neither Trump nor Clinton were the best picks by the major parties as this short video ( Less Than 3 minutes) from the BBC points out.

https://tinyurl.com/h7q3dj6 (US election: How did two unpopular candidates rise to the top?)

The BBC says it's much more nicely than I would.

Before Jim jumps on this, let me add a link from a different source -- Joel Belz of World Magazine. I appreciate his perspective and echo it. The President wasn't the best choice given all of whom might have run but considering who did run in the 2016 general election and who is currently running to be in the 202 general election as a presidential candidate, Donald Trump was and is the best choice given the major parties: https://world.wng.org/2019/08/dilemma_2020#.XfzgnxLD9Bs.twitter
